The practice
The specialist orthodontist, Vasilis Galanis, who is based in Trikala, was admitted to the School of Dentistry of Athens in September 1996 and graduated in June 2002. He then attended postgraduate studies of Dental Medicine at the University of Geneva, after which he moved to Germany for his specialty training in Orthodontics.
After his successful participation in the German examinations and following his professional experience at a private orthodontics clinic, in 2008 he returned to Trikala, where he maintains his private practice until today.
The range of services offered at the practice includes preventive orthodontics, maxillary orthopedics interventions, functional orthodontics, fixed braces of all types, lingual technique, orthodontic treatment with invisible aligners, as well as manufacturing splints for sufferers of bruxism and apparatuses for the treatment of sleep apnea.
The practice stands out for the high level of its facilities, among other things. In a specially designed room, a panoramic and cephalometric digital imaging radiography machine operates, which achieves the lowest possible radiation doses, while allowing for pediatric panoramic radiography to be carried out. In the same room, a three-dimensional machine operates where Cone Beam CT scans (CBCT/Dental Scan) are carried out. Finally, the practice has an independent laboratory on site, where the orthodontic apparatuses required for the treatment are immediately manufactured, which greatly contributes to the proper development of the orthodontic treatments.
